Chocolate milk?

Ooooh doesn’t this look like a big old treat? A nice ice cold glass of chocolate milk. Takes me back to the New York State Fair where growing up every year we got a little cup of super fresh chocolate milk for $.25. It was the most delicious thing I ever tasted and when I went back as a grown up I expected to be disappointed when it did not live up to my memories but it totally did! It was just as good as I remembered it being! So why may you ask am I telling you this and drinking a tall glass of chocolate milk right now…

Because I just worked out of course.

Did you know that in order to help your muscles recover after a workout that eating a combination of carbs and protein within 30 minutes is recommended? It is! And guess what else…. that’s right! Chocolate milk is a perfect ration of protein (from the milk) and carbs (from the sugar). So it’s easy, yummy, and feels like s little reward for all that hard work you just did. So next time you work out don’t be afraid to get a glass for yourself.
